We have once again achieved a glowing review at the annual assessment by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI).
During the half day inspection, the Warwickshire CSCI found that the agency met the standing in ALL areas assessed. Nursing staff provided by Meads are highly trained and well qualified, and the agency emphasises working in partnership with the GP practices using its services. As the inspectors examined records and discussed procedures and policies with the Meads management team, they found evidence of a wealth of expertise and a full understanding of primary care needs. They observed that the agency also provides its nurses with a comprehensive and continously evolving programme of training to ensure they are bang up to date.
As part of the assessment, the CSCI also surveyed 6 randomly chosen GP practices that use the Meads nurses agency. All confirmed that the agency is well organised, provides good continuity of service and communicates information on its services clearly via the newsletter and website. The feedback included: \"We receive excellent service from the agency, and the staff they have provided for us have been first class.\"
Managing Director Judy Meads commented, \"The team work really hard to meet the standards set out for us, so we are extremely proud to achieve such positive feedback from the inspectors and our clients\"
The full inspection report is available from enquiries@csci.gsi.gov.uk, and more information on the CSCI can be found at www.csci.org.uk The CSCI regularly inspect licenced agencies, to assess whether services are meeting the needs of people who use them.
